Vice President of Corporate Sales

The VP of Corporate Sales - North America, is a key leadership role with overall revenue responsibility for a rapidly growing market segment for our brands including Altmetric, Figshare, ReadCube and Dimensions. You will be expected to serve as both a player and a coach, contributing to sales targets while building, managing, and motivating regional salespeople, and supporting product expert teams.

As the head of this new division, we are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial heart, a strong track record of sales performance and a passion for solution-based selling in the Pharma/Biotech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Entrepreneurial ownership of a major sales territory for a fast-growing suite of products.
  • Ongoing achievement of bookings and pipeline growth targets.
  • Cross-functional teamwork to ensure that all customer commitments can be met.
  • Offer a high level of service to represent us in the market, and be the “eyes and ears” to the executive team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline, close deals, and exceed revenue goals in SaaS/Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in sales to R&D (Pharma/Biotech)
  • Experience managing and working with virtual sales team.
  • Active listening skills and a genuine curiosity to uncover customer needs, evaluation processes, and solution potential.
  • Effective presenting, communicating, and selling effectively to senior level executives, on the phone and in person.
  • Confidence and experience managing contract/legal processes.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

Location

Ideally this person will be based in the Boston/Cambridge area, but can telecommute/work from home if needed.
